Museum after Hours: "The Loving Story" Film and Discussion

The Missouri State Museum will present the film, “The Loving Story,” and a discussion led by Amy Gossett, Ph.D., Lincoln University. This program continues the museum’s ongoing series, “Museum After Hours,” held the first Wednesday of each month. While Museum galleries will remain open until 9 p.m., the program for this month will be presented in the T.D. Pawley Theater, Martin Luther King Hall, Lincoln University, 812 E. Dunklin. To mark the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s March on Washington and to introduce four documentaries with riveting new footage illustrating the history of civil rights in America, the Missouri State Museum will offer a series of screenings and discussions centered around four documentaries on the Lincoln University campus in Jefferson City, Mo. The Created Equal film set is made possible through a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, as part of its Bridging Cultures initiative, in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
